What We Do

Our Mission

Willow Center for Grieving Children provides support to children, teens and their families who are grieving the death of a loved one.

The preventive program provides group support coordinated by behavioral health professionals and trained volunteers to:

  • promote the expression of grief and loss
  • promote the understanding of death, loss and the process of grief
  • decrease feelings of isolation associated with grief.

We serve the region and currently have families coming from not just the LC Valley, but also around the region, including: Pullman, Orofino, Cottonwood, and even as far away as Riggins. Willow Center is the only organization between Boise and Spokane that is dedicated to serving the needs of grieving children, teens and their families in a free of charge, on-going open ended, support group format.

Willow Center extends supportive services and resources to the homework portal community in need of grief support via web site information, consultation and presentations. We are a non-profit, charitable organization, that receives support from Twin County United Way, local businesses, the community and individual donors. We couldn’t do this without the support of our kind donors and our dedicated volunteers!

“The Willow Center is an extremely awesome place for my children and myself to be a part of. We feel so welcome and look forward to coming every time!!”
