DESCRIPTION:Join the Willow Center in honoring Children’s Grief Awareness Day.In the United States\, 1 in 12 children will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the age of 18. That’s an estimated 6 million bereaved children each year!Youth with unaddressed grief are at a higher risk for lower academic performance\, depression\, anxiety\, PTSD and other mental health issues\, social and relationship struggles\, substance abuse\, suicide\, and early mortality.It is imperative that children who are grieving understand that they do not have to grieve alone! Here in the LC Valley community\, we want to spread the message that we are “Here For Each Other.” The Willow Center is one such resource\, who is here to offer free\, open-ended peer support groups to children ages 3-18\, and their caregivers…BECAUSE NO CHILD SHOULD GRIEVE ALONE To help support the Willow Center\, visit www.willow-center.com/donate.
